Research Experience for Undergraduates

Summer of 1999

This summer, the Research Experience for Undergraduates program is working with the Turbulence Project funded by two airline supply manufacturers, Allied Signal and Rockwell Collins, Inc.  This project, with the help of NASA, NCARS, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and CSU, is studying turbulence and how it can be incorporated in radar detection systems.  The REU students mainly performed data processing for the data collected by the corporations and Chill radar.
