Meet the people in the Radar Communications Group


Faculty

V.N. Bringi: Dr. Bringi's research interests are in dual-polarized radar theory, and applications to remote sensing of precipitation. He was a member of the AMS Committee on Radar Meteorology, and has served on the NEXRAD Technical Advisory Committee. He is the editor for J. Atmos. Ocean Tech. and is currently a member of the NSSL/NOAA's Radar Advisory Board. Dr. Bringi is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society.

Chandrasekar: Dr. Chandrasekar's interests and expertise are in radar system design, network development and RF communication systems. He has contributed to meteorological radar systems and applications to atmospheric science. He also conducts research on related topics including image processing, neural network applications and large scale system simulation. Dr. Chandra has been the associate editor of Journal of Atmospheric Technology and JAM. He is the Associate Director of the NSF Engineering Research Center for Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of Atmosphere, established in collaboration with Univ. of Massachusetts, Univ. of Oklahoma and Univ. of Puerto Rico. Dr. Chandra is a Fellow of IEEE.
